Your Questions, Answered.
How do I start a charging session?
It's simple. Just plug the connector into your vehicle. Wait for the payment prompt and present your credit card, once your card is authorized the charge will start. Make sure to always lock your vehicle before walking away.
How do Is stop a charging session?
The charge session will stop either when the vehicle is fully charged (automatically) or manually by tapping the same card used to start the charging session at the pay point.
Can I charge multiple vehicles at the same station?
Each station has dedicated bays for one vehicle per connector. If multiple spots are available, you can start separate sessions. Most of our sites use a charger with 2 connectors and ample space for two vehicles to be charged simultaneously.
Would the charging session end once my vehicle is fully charged?
Yes, the vehicle will stop the charge on its own and the charge session will be terminated and your card will be billed the final ammount.
How fast can I charge my car?
Our network consists of DC Fast Chargers, designed to get you back on the road quickly. Most modern EVs can get up to an 80% charge in under an hour, though charging speed can vary based on your vehicle's battery and capacity. Your vehicle controls the speed at which is charged by our stations, it is normal that charge speed drops as the vehicle battery approaches full.
What would happen if power went off in the middle of a charge session? Load Shedding?
Nothing to worry, the session is terminated the moment the power is switched off, your charged time and energy will be billed. The charging gun will have to be disconnected and reconnected to restart a second session once power is ON again.
Can the charge cable be removed while the vehicle is charging?
No, while vehicle is charging the charging port is locked by the vehicle, depending on your brand of vehicle the charging port will be unlocked and charge stopped when battery is fully charged, the charge has been manually stopped with your card at the pay point or by use the unlock door feature which at many vehicles will stop the charge. Consult your vehicle manual for more information.
Can another user take the cable from my vehicle and charge their vehicle using my charge session?
This is not possible, the moment that the charge connector is removed from the vehicle the charge session is terminated and the card used to start the session is billed. Any new connection will initiate a new charge session.
The charge session failed to start what to do?
There are a number of reasons for which your charge session may fail to start. There are time limits between vehicle charge cable connection and presenting your card on the pay point for verification per example, if exceeded the time after the voice prompt you may have to restart the process, disconnect the charge cable, reconnect and tap your card again. If your card is declined the paypoint will indicate so and the charge session will be cancelled.
